Scouts Follow these steps when you start working on a merit badge.

1. Get a blue Merit Badge Card
   
2. Contact the Merit Badge Counselor   Click on the list of troop 8 counselors on this page. 
   
3. Buy the Scout Merit Badge book or contact the Librarian to see if a book is in the troop library.
   
4. Complete the activities
   
5. Meet with your counselor
